CVS and XCode 1.5

  • Subject: CVS and XCode 1.5

I'm trying to setup CVS to a remote repository and am having trouble. I can execute cvs commands from within the projects folder, on the command line using cvs commands, but now I've finally decided to do it from within XCode. Here's the trouble:
Whenever I attempt a cvs operation, I get this message "...connection refused [update aborted]". I enabled SCM using from within XCode. I checked the "use ssh instead of rsh" checkbox. My environment variables are set correctly. I can still do cvs from the command line. I setup ssh so that I can connect w/o getting the password prompt. One thing I did was look at what was happening on the network when I invoked a cvs command from within XCode. I used tcpdump. It seems that XCode is trying to connect on port 514 (shell). What's this all about? Can someone help me out?
TIA
