I can confirm that after installing the most recent documentation update, full-text search did not work (I indeed pressed return... the first time out of expectation, the next two out of humility, and the last twenty five out of sheer anger). I did install the update with xcode running (shame on me), and was warned that the update had required a window layout reconfiguration... so I should have known something was fishy.

I just launched Xcode, however, and full-text search worked as it should. My guess is that it fixed itself after the first restart.

I see in the list archives several recent complaints (but no solutions)
about Xcode documentation not working. I find a similar but worse problem:
I never get _any_ results when I type anything into the full-text search, as
shown in this screenshot:

You see I've typed the word "compile". Obviously, this word should be found
somewhere in Xcode Help! Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing this?

Did you press return?

Full-Text Search is not an instant/incremental search. You have to type in the search term (and it can be quite complex, including boolean operators and wildcards), then press the return key.

The reason I suspect this is because when I perform a search, pressing the return key selects the text in the search field. The search term in your snapshot isn't selecting, which leads me to believe it hasn't been executed.

If that doesn't work, write back and I'll dig up the command for rebuilding the documentation index.
