Interesting.

Is is possible that the file being referred to in the "file not found" error is the editor and not the source file? (That's a rhetorical question -- I'm just typing out loud.)
- Open the Info window for the file and check its file type. It should be sourcecode.c.objc.
- Open the File Type preferences pane and see what the Preferred Editor for the file>text>sourcecode>c>objc type is. It should be "Default (Source Code File)".
