I've done exactly what you are looking to do, though with a standard
Obj-C based project, not Cocoa-Java. First thing remember override
order in your target settings. Targets override project settings.
If you have target dependencies, this can get messed up quickly,
especially with project dependencies, so check everything. I've
found it easier to go thru each target & make sure the Architectures
option isn't bold (meaning not modified from earlier setting). You
do that by selecting the option & clicking backspace key. Do this
both for debug & release build configurations. Then, in your
project, open the build settings & change debug's architecture to
NATIVE ARCH (so you can run it natively on your Intel dev machine,
instead of in Rosetta). Change the release version to just PPC.
Click the little edit button to bring up the checkboxes. Depending
on when you started your project, your default configuration names
may not be Debug & Release, but Development and Deployment, but the
concept is the same. Do the same in each project dependency. When
you are ready to build for deployment/release select that build
configuration & build. You should now have a PowerPC-only build.
Once you have this clean starting point, you can go back & tweak
individual targets as necessary for your project.

Hi Frederik, and thanks also for your reply ;) !
In Project Info, select the Architecture option and click Edit at the
bottom. Make sure both PowerPC and Intel are selected.
0) At this time, I only want Xcode to build a PPC flavour of my app.
So I'd rather make sure only the "PowerPC" box is checked :) !
1) I'm pretty sure to have modified such a setting before building :(
! You know, before posting to this list, I may have tried for many
days to get some positive results; reading Apple documentation and
many posts on this mailing list, doing those tests in Xcode alongside
my readings... So this seems to be the very 1st thing I've tried ;) !
I'm of course okay to do it again--we'll try tonight--, but I've got
the feeling it won't work :( ! I'll get you updated right after this
test.
Thanks again for your help,
