How does SCM determine status of project files?

  • Subject: How does SCM determine status of project files?

Hi -

I have been using xcode to develop a webobjects
application and am starting to use scm (subversion).
One thing I notice is that when I open a project and
before I touch anything inside the project, a 'M' is
displayed next to the project.pbxproj and
username.pbxuser files within the SCM group.

Is there anyway to stop this from happening? And what
is contained in those files that causes them to be
labeled as modified?

Thanks for the help.

Carter
