Installing XCode 2.4

I am installing XCode 2.4 and I elected to install the java 1.4.2 Reference Documents, which is taking a LONG time to install (over an hour and a half)

Questions:

1) Should I install this item?

2) Should I wait and let it finish, or is this not the behaviors I should be seeing? (Length of time)
