All I can add is: I would be very interested in hearing about this topic, and sharing some information. All the advice I could give is tell you about more problems arising through mach-injection etc.

And to make this totally clear: I hate making software piracy proof, and whenever I am working on it I feel like it is lost time and creativity. But then I go to the "serial" sites, and find that people have the nerve to crack anything from $9.95 shareware to Indesign and beyond.
