This was discussed on the Carbon list I believe. It seems some people
(like you and me, but not everyone) don't have a ColorSync debug
framework. It's some kind of install bug somewhere or other I
think was
the consensus.
Well, I finally created an symlink of the standard framework to the
_debug variant.
It turned out to be an waste of time, as no application launches with
the _ debug variants anyway due to an assertion in the font handling
code:
DebugAssert: ATS: Using old glyphs cache path[Glyphs/ATSGlyph.c:455]
