I would just move the /Developer folder to the other partition, and do

cd /
sudo ln -s /Volumes/BigDisk/Developer Developer

in a Terminal window.

Hi everyone,

I just joined, so I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
I was wondering if there is a way to move the dev tools. They take up quite a bit of space and my boot disk is only 6GB but I have another disk that's 80GB so I partitioned a piece for the dev tools. I then installed the tools and moved them to the partition. I put an alias on the boot disk from the dev folder but now XCode doesn't work. Not even the documentation window can view the docs. Argh! I understand that it doesn't follow aliases but what do I do? I really don't want the dev tools on the boot disk 'cause they're so big.

What can I do?
Thanks, Alan
