If you're really short on disk space, it might be worth noting that to avoid having to move the /Developer folder you can also set up the symlink before installing the dev. tools, as the installer respects this symlink.

Not that I need to remember tricks such as this one any more - I got my new Intel iMac yesterday, with lot's of free disk space! Wohoo! It's also wickedly fast, and very quiet!
