I have a 12" Powerbook G4 with the 1.5Ghz, 512 Ram, OSX 10.4.5 and
XCode 2.0. The application worked fine to edit my .c and .h files
until recently. When I try to open one now, XCode opens, but no
editor window does. I can use command-a to select everything and
copy / paste my code into another editor, but there is no visible
window available for me to edit my files.
I can get the editor window through the project manager window, but
it wont launch the editor window by itself. Most of my projects I
complie on other systems, so I don't really like using the project
managment system.
I have tried to remedy this solution the only way I know how:
Completely Uninstall XCode and then update OSX and try to install
XCode again, but it is to no avail.
I've tried google searching, to no avail. If anyone has had this
problem before, please let me know how you solved it. Thanks,
Try clicking the "Editor" button in the toolbar of the project
window. It may be that you have an editor pane in that window that's
only a few pixels tall, and you're not noticing it. Look for a
splitbar with a dimple at the extreme top or bottom of the window, or
on the right side.
