I've tried google searching, to no avail. If anyone has had this problem before, please let me know how you solved it.

Whenever you have a "gui collapse" in Xcode, the first thing to do is throw out your xxx.mode1 file. First make sure Xcode is not running. Now right click on your XXX.xcodeproj file, and do "Show Package Contents". Now drag <user>.mode1 to the trash. If you share the project on CVS there could be many of these, so just throw out yours. Fire up your project, and nine times out of ten you will be ok.
