This is not always true. It's quite possible that a bug only shows up at higher optimization levels (or even disappears at higher optimization levels), e.g. because you're using a uninitialised variable and the contents of the used memory location/register by the compiler happens to have the correct value in one of the scenarios, but not in the other.


I do agree that's quite unlikely in this case, but you never know.
