Good point, but yup, they do.

You're right that the build configuration of the current target should make the configurations of the same name in the subprojects.

It works when you change the config popup, so I'm thinking it's just a bug that it doesn't do check to make sure all subprojects will use the same config when you open a project. If I don't hear anything by the end of the day, I'll report it.
