C++ runtime entry point before static intialization of obejcts...

What is the name of the entry point that is called by the C++ runtime
before it begins initialization of static objects... my mind has gone
blank and my searching has only turned up "__cplusstart" which I doubt
is still relevant.

Sorry for the dumb question.
