Hi.
Switching from Xcode 2.1 to Xcode 2.2 is better to uninstal all the previous version of Xcode. To do that you can write in a terminal the command:
$ sudo perl /Developer/Tools/uninstall-devtools.pl
After this you have to restart your system. Then you are ready to install the new version.
Try this way to start again from scratch.
After the installation is complete, you have to repair your disk permission.

Bye

Luca

Dear,

I have a Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.4 installed on it.
I have been working with Xcode 2.1 untill today. Today I noticed that there was a new version of Xcode (2.2.1) available from apple.com. I downloaded and installed this 2.2.1 version. This worked fine, but when I tried to start this new version of Xcode, it starts up but the moment I try to click on one of the menu items to open my project it freezes and I have to use 'Force Quit' to kill the application.

Since 2.2.1 was not working I wanted to go back to the previous version (2.1) but it seems like it has disappeared from apple's download site. Therefore, I reverted to the original DVD and installed 2.0 again after uninstalling 2.2.1. Now I can run Xcode again, but now I am unable to open any of my projects which have been made in 2.1 :(

Anyone any advice on how to solve this?

Many thanks, Gert Thijs
