Learning Xcode ???

  • Subject: Learning Xcode ???

I'm a graphic designer who works on developing software (mac platform
only) for therapeutic uses (handicapped children), actually I just
develop the concept and layout and somebody else does the programming.
Currently I'm "simulating" things using Macromedia Director but I
really would like to make my own stuff without depending on somebody
else.

I have not background at all in programming, so I have some questions:

1.- Can I start learning Xcode from the scratch?
2.- Should I prefer something easier and "dummy proof" like RealBasic.
3.- Can anyone recommend me a good book to start a self teaching process.
4.- It is possible to really learn Xcode without experience in
programming, the closest thing to a code that I've seen was watching
the Matrix movies.
5.- I can write my own scripts using lingo, but I think that does not
count as real programming, I'm right?

Well, I hope somebody can help me with my doubts.

Thanks in advance.
