Hi Ronald,
the answer to this question depends on what you want/need to learn. If you know how to program and want to get a grip on Xcode, then get the book 'Step into Xcode' by Fritz Anderson. There are other books, but that's the one I know inside out. (I'm the technical editor of the German translation of the book, so I went through it four to five times, actually.) I started writing programs on Mac OS system
6.x using MPW and used pretty much all incarnations of Apple's development tools until now (except a short stint on CodeWarrior while working for a game-company). Fritz' book managed to clear some foggy areas in Xcode for me, YMMV.
The book is no introduction to writing programs for OS X, mind you. It's about using Xcode.
