It's unclear to me why maintaining the current open source status of
GTK on Mac OS X would prevent its usage for cross platform
development. As GTK is C/C++ it should be a snap to incorporate the
framework in any application developed. Do it by static linking or by
adding the GTK library into the application's bundle.
So, feel free to prefer GTK over the many other GUI frameworks in Mac
OS X and feel free to discuss showstoppers in this process, if there
are any.
