The project compiles and runs, but nothing happens when I give it a URL.

Any clues out there for this clueless one ?

Please be more specific.

Which URL do you give it?

What's your network configuration? Are you using a proxy server?

When nothing happens, describe exactly what DOES happen. Does it crash,
hang requiring a Force Quit, not respond, act as if no URL was entered,
something else?

Hi, Greg.

I give it any URL: http://www.apple.com for instance

I type the URL and press Return -- and nothing happens.
It does not crash, I can quit normally.

The two buttons at the bottom (labeled CFNetwork and Foundation) also do nothing.

My network config is simple: Cable modem to an Airport Base Station to my PowerBook's AirPort card.
No proxy (that I am aware of)

The URL needs to be to an image. Try:

http://www.akosut.com/log/img/FLUFFY BABY BUNNY.jpg

Hi, Ben. You make sense, especially 'cause I mistyped and got an error saying "Could not load an image from ..."

HOWEVER... it still does nothing if I type the URL correctly. Safari, running on the same PowerBook, has no trouble seeing the bunny.

WTF ?

It's been a while since I looked at that app, but as I recall it has a toggle that shows an image with 50% opacity on top of another. If you still can't get it working, I'd step through it in the debugger and see whether an error is being returned somewhere.

Ben
