Calling PPC framework from Universal app

Hi,

We have an application which uses a PPC-only third-party framework to drive a USB device. The manufacturers have told us that this framework will never be updated to a universal binary, so we can't convert our app to universal. Obviously, we'll be looking for a new device/framework, but we need to support users with the existing hardware. I'm looking into what our options are. I think that what we'll have to do is to wrap the framework in a separate PPC binary which runs under Rosetta and use IPC to talk to it. Before I embark on this, does anyone know of a better way?

Jerry
