Whoa! Didn't want to start a Cocoa/Carbon argument, which is why I

I've been reading this with interest. I've got a C++ library that
makes some (sparing) use of exceptions. We're not writing a Mac
interface yet (much to my annoyance), but I've been thinking about
whether Cocoa or Carbon would be a better way to do it. We had an
Apple developer tell us this that Cocoa on C++ was *the* way to do
cross platform development a few years ago, but he didn't explain.
So what exactly are the issues? And if it is off-topic to xcode-
users, where would it on topic?
