Hi!

I'm a programmer but a new Mac user! I saw that exists a
Developping Environment for OS X called xcode.
But I cannot understand if it is free and if it is on my
installing CDs. I've installed from the second CD the
programmers' environment but I found no xcode.
How can I tell if it is or not on my system.

XCode is indeed free (and part of the Developer tools) , the installer will have put it into /Developer/Applications You can download the latest version from connect.apple.com (free registration required).
