Help : Debugging 3rd party plugin via XCode 2.2.1

I am trying to debug a plugin for third party software (carbon) using gdb . While gdb works, it is really tough with all keyboard bashing. Later I tried ddd graphical debugger, it works alright but it is not as friendly as Xcode and have overhead to start up via XWindows. The carbon plugin is compile using gcc with -O0 -g option.

Is it possible to setup XCode to debug a plugin for 3rd party application (no compile since no source code) ?

If so what are the steps to do so ?

Thanks.

Peter
