Revising my earlier estimate (based on the time stamp of my first
email to this list), I think that this installation/indexing
process has been running for over two hours now. The warning said,
"20 minutes to 1 hour". At what point should I begin to be
concerned? Will killing the pbxhelpindexer process screw up the
rest of the xcode installation?
If you kill it, potentially none of your documentation lookups will
work.
Was this process tested on a crappy old G4 cpu? I don't have one of
those fancy dual core intel chips yet. I do not recall it taking
this long with the 2.2 install.
There is a lot more content to index in 2.3, as there is a lot of new
documentation.
