In the case where you don't have any "Other linker flags", your target instead has an additional "Link Binary With Libraries" build phase, that accomplish the same thing.

builds a lot faster but that could just be my imagination. m.

In both cases I would expect that you have to link with the same frameworks, so it *shouldn't* matter.
