I don't think CVSROOT needs to be there if I just want to do a cvs
update, since the path to the root is already stored in the Root file
of every CVS directory in the local copy...
Furthermore, I just added it anyway to my .MacOSX/environment.plist,
and this hasn't solved the problem.
