Yeah, but that would be a pain!
But it shouldn't be!
I think you misunderstand what I was trying to say. However, it
shouldn't be so hard to use expressions though.
It's a pain to use expressions for viewing global variables. I would
have to enter the name of the global variable I want to view (whether
by copy and past or manually typing it). I then have to delete it
from the list when I'm done with it. A whole lot harder than just
glancing at a list of global variables referenced in the function
active in the debugger.
I have a bug in about being able to paste and easily edit
expressions in the expressions window.. rdar://4805631
Yes, you should be able to use such simple supposed to be standard
features in Apples dev tools. So, I totally agree here.
I think fixing the expressions window is of extreme importance,
mind you I haven't looked at how it is in leopard.. feel free to
"vote" if you agree!
Yeah, I don't have Leopard either (though I wish I could by early as
an advantage of having an ADC account [not select or premier]), so I
can't do that as well.
One thing I know I'm going to love is the ability to hover over
expressions in the source code and see the value. This ability was in
CodeWarrior and I used it alot.
