No one is asking for perfection. But it's hard to not feel frustrated when you've used a feature in CW (or possibly other applications) that worked better than its counterpart in Xcode, especially when the difference impacts your productivity.


I used CW for about five years, and yes, I liked it.

When it was announced that Mac was going Intel, I switched to Xcode the same day.
It took a couple of weeks to getting used to a new workflow (my projects are pretty small,
around 500 source files per project), but being used to switch between different development environments,
it wasn't a big deal.
And most important, I could continue to work and improve my applications and many things were much easier, using a
developper tool that was made by the same company that did the OS.

Using tools from Apple certainly eliminates some issues we used to face with CW, but those were usually issues that only had to be addressed once per system update or some such time. Many of my issues with Xcode are related to things that affect my productivity every day -- every hour -- I use it.
