No one is asking for perfection. But it's hard to not feel frustrated
when you've used a feature in CW (or possibly other applications)
that worked better than its counterpart in Xcode, especially when the
difference impacts your productivity.
I used CW for about five years, and yes, I liked it.
When it was announced that Mac was going Intel, I switched to Xcode
the same day.
It took a couple of weeks to getting used to a new workflow (my
projects are pretty small,
around 500 source files per project), but being used to switch
between different development environments,
it wasn't a big deal.
And most important, I could continue to work and improve my
applications and many things were much easier, using a
developper tool that was made by the same company that did the OS.
Using tools from Apple certainly eliminates some issues we used to
face with CW, but those were usually issues that only had to be
addressed once per system update or some such time. Many of my issues
with Xcode are related to things that affect my productivity every
day -- every hour -- I use it.
