Same here. I logged a bug with Apple on the crasher. I now treat this as a nice syntax-checking warning me of an error in my Objective-C (not C++) code. :-)

I have never seen this type of crash in a plain ObjC file, which sort of encourages me not to use Obj-C++ :)

I have. I wouldn't use this as a reason not to use Obj-C++. (Besides the fact that they're mostly harmless.)

A crash in the compiler on saving the file always implicates Predictive Compilation. Uncheck "Use Predictive Compilation" in the Building preferences pane.

Thanks.

We've addressed a number of these compiler crashes on ill-formed code in the last few versions of Xcode. The originator didn't note what version this occurred on, but I'd recommend trying this on Xcode 2.4.

;-) I always use the very latest of your technology. Could I eventually help with some more information? Please?
