lazy type frame work linking question

In our project we have a base library called SharedEngine. This
library is used across multiple applications some windowed and some
that are command line apps.
It has one method that creates a rendering context. This causes the
library to need to link against the OpenGL and Cocoa frameworks under
osx. It also causes these frameworks to be linked in for the other
applications that don't even use a gl context.
Is there some sort of lazy linking or stripping of unused code that
someone would recommend for this situation? Most of the descriptions
in the settings that I've looked at don't quite seem to be what I
really want. Their descriptions tend to be deterring. I'm looking
for the MW version of dead strip unused code.
Thanks.
