I was checking out the release build of my application, and I used Finder's "Show Package Contents" to look inside the application bundle. In addition to the expected nibs, I was surprised to see the backups ("MainMenu~.nib", etc.). Backup nibs make sense for my source set, but is there a reason to have them in the finished application?
No. There are two ways they could have gotten there:
a) You edited the nib in the application itself, or b) Somehow the backup nib got added to the project and is being copied in the Copy Bundle Resources build phase.
