How can I specify time with resolution lower than 1 with QTTime?
For example I want to specify 4.6 seconds in QTTime, but
QTTime.timeValue is "long long" not float or double, so if I use
QTTime q = QTMakeTime(4.6, 1) it automaticaly cast 4.6 to "long
long" and timeValue becoms 4.
QTTime is a fraction, so use the timeScale:
QTTime q = QTMakeTime(46, 10);
Math will be easier if you use a consistent timeScale for all of the
times you work with.
Since time is a basic concept in QuickTime, you might want to look at
the definition in the introduction to the QuickTime API documentation:
<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/QuickTime/INMAC/INTROS/xxIntroductions.e.htm>
(inserting obligatory reminder that cross-posting questions to
multiple lists is bad form -- the best list for this question would
be quicktime-api)
