Well, then my assumption that the Xcode forum being private is erroneous and
mea culpa on that one. That having been said here's the way I see it at
this point:
1) 2.5 is freely available to anyone who signs up w/ ADC not just the paying
members. Since anyone can do this without being vetted, all restrictions
are off the table, IMHO.
2) Apple's "release notes" don't tell you anything about what's different
other than "Use this if you don't have access to 3.0 and want to prepare for
Leopard." That's not an answer to "What's different?"
I don't want to screw up my development system in the middle of a project if
there's nothing worth downloading. Examples would be: Global Variables
feature that actually works at all. FileMerge that actually works at all.
Xcode not hanging when I want to debug two apps at the same time. Being
able to view STL data structures without having to resort to mickey mouse
GDB incantations.
It's not like I'm asking for 64-bit Carbon. Jeez.
