i still find AppKido is still far superior for browsing the framework documentation.

Can you provide specifics on what features make a difference for you?

- it's a separate application (thus can be hidden or moved to it's own space)
- there are many more levels of navigational hierarchy:
1. quicklist
2. classlist
3. class hierarchy browser
4. class table of contents
5. method list
- in the 'general' section there's a link to the relevant header file
- for all method sections there is a 'all xxx' section that includes all inherited methods

And, I guess most important of all, all navigational elements stay the same, no matter what I'm looking at.

When using Xcode's documentation window, I spend most of my time *finding* and *navigating* instead of actually reading relevant information.

OK, some specific gripes with the Xcode doc viewer:

- When browsing the AppKit reference, I have to click "AppKit Reference" and scroll down the list again and again. I'd rather that list stayed open. You know, like in AppKiDo.
- TOC vanishes when navigating (see start of thread)
- TOC font size is to large (and not adjustable, as far as I can see)
- TOC width is not adjustable
- I don't like that the TOC entries disclose their contents *inside* the TOC itself; it frequently moves other entries out of sight and I have to either close an entry first, or scroll around; I'd rather have an additional list - just like in AppKiDo
- When clicking on a method name, I get directed to the part of the document that contains that definition. But I *still* have to locate it first, since preceding and following definitions are shown above/ below. (Unlike AppKiDo.)
- In the search results list, I'd like to see a 'type' filter, so I can see methods or constants only. Sorting by type is not efficient enough if there are many results; I have to scroll too much.
- I have to move the doc window to a separate space *each* and *every* time I open it.
