Glad I could help. This seems to be a bug in Xcode, but I've only
seen it a few times, and I can't reproduce it, so I've never bothered
to file a bug report. I don't know whether it still occurs in Xcode 3.

Dieter,
I've seen this kind of glitch before. The fix depends on your
situation:
(1) In the build window, do you see 4 little icons attached to a
split view divider? If so, you can click on the icons to control
which panes are displayed.
(2) If not (1), then is there a split view divider at the very top
of the build window? If so, you can pull that down.
(3) If not (2), then you can't see the top split view divider at
all in the build window. In this case, resizing the whole build
window usually reveals the split view divider.

I'm using XCode 2.4.1 and in most of my projects after having
worked for some time the Build Results Window ends up with only
two panes instead of the tree when the project is created.
I end up with the (optional) Build Transcripts and the editor
pane but the first and most important one is gone for good and I
have not yet been able to figure out how to get it back.
Thank You,
Dieter
