In Xcode 3, where in a project's Groups & Files (or elsewhere) is the project's prefs file (*.plist) specified?

It's the Bundle Identifier.

But the Bundle Identifier is used fir more than the default name of the prefs file, and the prefs file name can be set programmatically. Consult the CFBundle and NSUserDefaults documentation for details.
