Perhaps you missed this:

Nothing fancy, just a new project and hit the 'Build' button and
immediate got errors when it was trying to compile the precompiled
headers. Tried the same thing with a fresh Carbon app and got a
different error. Can't believe this slipped by QA but wanted to
check before filing a bug that something so simple as a canned
template is failing to build.
Why do you build using GCC 3.3? I'm pretty sure that's not the
default compiler version.
