You're right -- I misspoke. If you add the PDF directory as an

Hmm, doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe I'm just thick though. :)
I have downloaded "Dec06DevDocPDF" from the ADC site. In Xcode >
Preferences > Documentation I added "path/to/Dec06DevDocPDF/
documentation" (the folder which has many subfolders with many
PDFs). I
relaunch Xcode. Then I go to, for example, the "Introduction to Core
Data Reference Update" page but the PDF link still points to <http://
developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/CoreDataRefUpdate/
CoreDataRefUpdate.pdf> and not <file://localhost/path/to/
Dec06DevDocPDF/
documentation/Cocoa/Reference/CoreDataRefUpdate/
CoreDataRefUpdate.pdf>.
Mine points to /Volumes/brie/Dec06DevDocPDF. And while the URL on the
"Introduction to Core Data Reference Update" page shows as http://,
in fact it opened the PDF on my brie volume when I clicked it. (I
think this is the first time I've verified that it does work.)
