I've done this by adding a "Run Script" build phase. You can use the script to compare the times of the various files and delete the output file if it is older. Then, Xcode will rebuild it.

Can someone tell me how to get Xcode to check the modified date on dependencies, and if newer, copy the new files in?

I'm getting so many errors where I modify an internal file, let's say script file that needs to be bundled inside my app, and the debugged executable doesn't contain the new script but the old script :(

Solution is to delete the actual target, or delete the script inside the bundle.

But it's annoying, and wastes time, and error prone. I tend to forget it every now and then.

Any way to get Xcode to automate this proces by checking the modified date on dependencies.
