I created my universal application bundle my.app in xcode.
Now i want to test its ppc code using Rosetta.
When i select "Get info" for my.app, mark checkbox "Open using
Rosetta" and close info window, mark disappears.
What is wrong?
Are you sure you have a valid Universal app?
Also, running under Rosetta isn't really identical to running on
a PowerPC machine.
True. If you're going to release something that claims to work
with PowerPC Macs you should test it on a PowerPC Mac *and* under
Rosetta.
Out of curiosity, why would someone need to test an app that is UB
& has no plugins that could be PPC only in Rosetta.
Okay, "need" is probably a bit strong, but you never know what users
might do. In most cases you *should* test on a PowerPC Mac and it
would be nice to do some testing under Rosetta just in case.
