Thread Safety

I got to figure which OSX calls are thread safe and which are not. So I look through the header files. Some functions have a "Mac OS X Threading:" topic with either "Thread safe" or "Not thread safe".

Some other functions don't have this topic. What is to be assumed in those cases? Obviously, the safest bet is to assume that those functions are not thread safe. But is that the correct assumption?
