Why is that?
Because Apple says so.
Because it's an inheritance from NeXT. Because Avi Tevanian and Steve
Jobs say so.
Apple is alone in pushing Objective-C. Do we really need another OO
variant of C? I think not. C++ is almost universal. One stands a greater
chance of migrating code to another platform with C++. There are ample
materials; books, sample code, etc. for C++, much less for ObC.
