So it isn't strictly tied to multiple cores, but can also occur under a
single core or CPU.  It's just that multiple cores (really, parallel
builds) make it more likely to occur.

Does it only happen when the file is opened *while* Rez is already reading
it, or can it happen if Rez is reading a file that's already open elsewhere?
