Hi.
Microsft compiler isn't made to be compliant to the C++ standard
(i.e. ISO/IEC 14882:2003), but is made to build Windows applications.
So, is possible that some non-standard C++ code compiles in Visual C++
but not in Xcode (gcc 4.0.1). Anyway if you make "const" the parameter
in function, you will respect the C++ standard and you'll be able to
compile your code in Xcode (as well as in Visual C++).
Not strictly true in this case -- this code generates a warning in VS.Net:
d:\source\trunk\projects\sibelius\scoreview\scoreview.cpp(142) :
warning C4239: nonstandard extension used : 'argument' : conversion
from 'Music' to 'Music &'
1> A non-const reference may only be bound to an lvalue
So if you take note of the warnings the compiler gives you then it tells
you your code isn't portable.
Paul
