Completely agree.

Not to mention the fact that, again, speaking from past experience, with pre-release software you always have to wonder: "Is it me, or is this just not working in the OS?"

This is hard enough for experienced developers who develop professionally and have to use pre-release software in order to make their products ready. For someone not so experienced it will be worse by several orders of magnitude
