I guess what I don't understand is why one would ever want the index to
include all like-named projects.

We run into this problem as a result of having to use a shared build folder. But the index isn't the only problem here.


We must use a shared build folder, otherwise the copy files phase of the main project is unable to locate the build products (produced by referenced projects) in order to assemble the final application bundle.

In addition to the indexing problem, this means that whenever I jump from working on trunk to one of the branches for the same projects, I have to remember to do a Clean before building (and the resultant cost associated with it.)

How are others dealing with this?
