Xcode 3.0 First impressions:
• In an editing window the text is jammed up against the left hand
side (I don't opt for a gutter). Convention has it that one would
normally have a 3 or 4 pixel margin at the left of text pane.
• I'm getting a lot of flashing in the Target settings window --
change any setting or say remove a customized setting.
I can't see the underlying symbol for a setting. That is, previously,
if I was at the "Current Project Version" row, I would see a short
description at the bottom of that window which mentioned
CURRENT_PROJECT_VERSION and I could copy that for use elsewhere. I
also found it more convenient to be able to edit the value directly
instead of having to use a dialog. Can I change these behaviors somehow?
• The really wide and tightly packed color bars in the Color
preferences don't look very good.
• I'm not having the problems with slow project opening mentioned by
some other list members.

I think the insertion point movement is governed by the Keyboard
settings in System Preferences. On the same machine, with 10.5, I
can't get the keyboard speed to be as fast[1] as it was on 10.4.10
and Xcode 2.4.1. Consequently, standard editing activities make it
seem like Xcode is a wee bit sluggish.
[1] What it looks like to me right now is that if the keyboard
sliders are maxed-out in SP, it's causing sporadic problems with the
keyboard going partially dead. In the Finder for instance, I
couldn't even use Command-W at one point (virgin install BTW).
