I would like to know how to adjust the scrolling behavior to the
WASTE/CodeWarrior/TextWrangler style. It's not very efficient to
go down a half page because it takes more time to visually locate
the target area. With any of the above mentioned implementations,
one always knows where they are going to because the last line in
the previous screen is always the first line in the next.
In CAD/CAM/CAE software, we let the user set a paging over-lap
percentage, and I've done similar things with text editing (both
for paging down a file, and cascading windows -- allowing them to
set both the x and y off-sets in pixels in the latter case).
It sounds like another place where the user should have control.
I'd settle for an obscure default only accessible via the command
line :)
