xcode and p4v

I am trying to get Perforce working through xcode. Right now I have the p4v application downloaded and it works just fine, except that it is a pain to have to flip between xcode and p4v to check out/ submit files.

I noticed that the SCM of Xcode has the option for p4v, but everytime i set it up nothing seems to happen. I hit enable SCM after putting in all my credentials and then nothing.

Any ideas?
